Use the ‘Slice’ tool to cut away sections of the point cloud for a different view.

Getting started

  1. Turn on the Slice feature by either clicking the Slice icon in the bottom left corner of the viewer or toggle the Slice button on.

  1. A bounding box will appear around the point cloud.

Creating the Slice

  1. Hover the mouse over either a face or an edge of the bounding box. An arrow will appear to either move the face in or out, or rotate the edge in a 360 degree movement.

Hovering over the face of the bounding box will move the slice in/out to create a dollhouse view.

Bounding box faces can slice the point cloud in any direction in or out, including top down.

  1. Click and drag the face in or out, or rotate the bounding box edge to the desired location.

Locking the Slice

  1. Turn off the bounding box by selecting the Slice icon or toggling the Slice button off.
