Use the Volume tool to measure the cut, fill, and net volume of the selected region.

Getting Started

  1. Select the ‘Volume’ icon from the toolbar.

  1. Left click on the desired location in the scene to add the first volume boundary point. The ‘Scope’ tool will appear in the upper left corner of the viewer to assist with point selection.

  1. Continue to add volume boundary points by left clicking the desired locations.

  1. Right click on the final boundary point to complete the volume selection. The confirmed boundary will turn blue.

  1. Once the final boundary point has been selected, the area, cut, fill, and net volume will automatically calculate.

  1. Open the Base Plane dropdown menu to choose between “Best-Fit”, “Triangulated”, and “Lowest Horizontal” selections to fine-tune the cut/fill/net volumes based on the desired base plane.

Renaming, Viewing, and Editing the Volume

  1. Select the Name icon to give the volume a title.

  1. Select the Visibility icon to hide the volume measurement on the viewer.
