The Volume tool measures the crater or stockpile volume of the selected region.

Getting Started

  1. Select the ‘Volume’ icon in the toolbar.

  1. Left click on the desired location in the scene to add the first volume boundary point. The ‘Scope’ tool will appear in the upper left corner of the viewer to assist with point selection.

  1. Continue to add volume boundary points by left clicking the desired locations.

  1. Right click on the final boundary point to end the volume selection. The boundary perimeter will turn blue.

  1. From the ‘Volume Selection’ dropdown menu, select either ‘Crater’ or ‘Stockpile’ and click ‘Calculate’. The selected volume measurement will be displayed both on the viewer and in the volume measurement box.

Renaming, Viewing, and Editing the Volume

  1. Select the Name icon to give the volume a title.

  1. Select the Visibility icon to hide the volume display on the viewer.

  1. To edit the volume, left click and drag any of the points to a new desired location. After the new volume perimeter has been established, select ‘Calculate’ to measure the new volume.
